Labor Law 1?
I work at a gas station as a cashier. In the past, customers have repeatedly asked me to take my car through the car wash or remove the antenna before entering. I didn't do this, in case there was any damage to the vehicle, so that people wouldn't say I caused it. I'm only responsible for the cash register and not for performing any work on customers' cars. Now a customer complained because I didn't want to remove the antenna. My boss said I had to do it. My question is: Is this even legal? I would appreciate serious answers.
I wouldn’t do that, the reason you’ve already called, what if you break the antenna, for example?
And the car goes into the washing machine, it doesn’t work at all, if the customer is too stupid, then the car just remains dirty
Should your boss give you that in writing that if something happens he is standing for
Chef just says say yes and do this although I told him my thinking
if nothing is in the contract, then ask for it in writing, otherwise something happens, and the boss says he didn’t need it without having anything written, I wouldn’t do it.
I don’t know a gas station where the employees do that.
I would think that this is one of your tasks.
In particular, if agreed in the employment contract.
The employer should be insured for accidents.
Depending on what’s in the contract. If only cashier and goods clearance activities are in the contract, your boss can narrow this into his hair.
I have never received a written contract and nothing has been said in this way orally
There must be at least one description of activity in accordance with the Proof Act. See best here.
I’m not talking about a job contract either. See §2 of the Proof Act. Here it says:
“a brief characterization or description of the work to be done by the employee”
There is no written contract. In no way. Thus nothing is agreed in writing
