This counts the frequent accompanying phenomena of the intake phase of an aquarium. Since no animals should be in it, you can easily watch the little nature show. As long as the microbial community of biofilms is not yet true, different microbial species are temporarily wide, which are no longer competitive later. Among these are also the free-floating bacteria living in colonies, which make threads, fluffy coatings or turbid water.

This can happen and is no longer tragic. It goes away from alone.

Totally normal. I hope there’s no fish in it.

Otherwise simply run, regularly light on and off and – important – do not clean the filter. Most beginners do that automatically because they think the filter must clear the water again.

Now the bacteria build up in the filter, which later bring the pollutants out of the water. Making the filter clean is therefore absolutely impediable and counterproductive.

Patience. It will.

Sure. It’ll be okay. If the filter runs properly and is not undersized, it will be all.

And remember, patience is the second first name of a Aquarian 😉
