Aprilia SR GT 125 ABS push?

I always push the scooter out of the garage, park it in the yard, start it up, and drive off. This time, when I pushed it, it sounded like a toy car with a friction motor, but not before or after. Is pushing it out of the garage with the engine and ignition off okay, or is it not allowed for some reason? Because I wanted to find out what that noise could have been (if anyone has any ideas, please let me know), and if it's not allowed at all, I'll end up voiding the warranty or something because I was pushing it.
