Apps for a MacBook?

I bought a MacBook this week, mainly for training, and would like to use it more (also for private purposes).

Do you have any app recommendations for using on the MacBook? It could be anything like games, shopping apps, or similar.

For macOS there are no apps, only programs. You simply call shopping providers via Safari, which is simpler, more logical and clearly legible than in an app.

Of course, you can also run some apps that are actually intended for iPad on M chips. I have always noticed only a very strong battery consumption and I guess.
