Apply internally?

Hello everyone,

Should I apply internally, even though my boss said a few weeks ago that he wants to give me another one-year contract and keep me on the team? The other department has a permanent position, and I would earn more money.

I'm also unsure whether I should tell him that I'm applying internally for a different department. What if I don't get the position? Won't that be awkward between me and my current department? What do you think?

Don’t let that chance be for fear. I’d tell your boss that you’re planning to apply there because you have great interest in getting to the company in the long term and want more security. You can also tell him that you are happy to continue working in the team if it doesn’t want to be anything…every good boss understands that you don’t shut down good options.

Talk better with him, otherwise it comes out over detours and then it may feel like a knife stitch in the back for the boss.

He can also plan better and understand your motives.

I’ll compare it with strangers, it’s better to finish and then ride the next Cock than the other way around.
