Apple problem?

Hello,

I have the problem that I urgently need the Goodnotes app for school, but I can't install the app.

Previously, the school paid for Goodnotes with a different ID on the device. But now I'm no longer paying for it, and I've added my own ID with a payment method.

Here is an image that is displayed when I want to install it:

The app is no longer visible on my home screen and updating doesn't work.

I've tried an update, everything.

Does anyone know more about this? Please write if you know anything or ask, anything. I really don't know what to do anymore.

Thank you in advance 😊

Yes! I try to update it, but I don’t…

Because it was installed with another AppleID than the currently used one. You will probably only have to delete it from the iPad and then reinstall it from the AppStore (under your current AppleID).

And under all my apps I don’t find goodnotes. It doesn’t seem to be installed.

It was probably not really deleted from the iPad, but just removed from your home screen.

It’ll probably be on the device.

Go to the right home screen (“App-Mediathek”) and find it there. If it’s still there, it’s gonna be out there. And really select Delete App.

After that, as I said, new with your current AppleID, which is currently active on the device is new download from the AppStore.

Puh…

Then I guess:

Evtl. do you need to log in with the old AppleID so you can see and uninstall the software? Evtl. is this only visible if you just used the AppleID with which it was also bought?

However, as I said, it has been advised that I have no experience yet with changing AppleID on a device…

GoodNotes as an app is free. The message therefore makes little sense as the purchase is made via In-App purchases.

Check the App Store for GoodNotes. I could imagine GoodNotes being doubled. So a free version and a version for schools incl. Premium access.

The latter will then only be available for educational accounts where you are the AppleID or have lost access. The “purchase” can therefore not be verified.

Try a new installation of GoodNotes. If possible, create a backup.

As far as I know, the app can only be used with the Apple id with which it was also paid..Does it have a contact for Apple/ipad technology at your school?

Then you would have before to have your iPad removed from the school’s MDM.

Turn to the old school for help. No way!

This is, of course, doofy, but there are also technicians who can only redirect this (of course, unfortunately) with money.

Completely uninstall and reinstall with the Apple ID of the new school.
