Report for nude photos?

Hello dear community,

I recently made a mistake. I sent a woman a nude photo from a fake account, where her intimate area was clearly visible. However, this photo was also fake. Both the woman and I are adults. Since I actually wanted to send a different photo (a selfie) that didn't involve sexual harassment, I apologized. The woman is still determined to file a complaint.

The photo I sent could only be viewed briefly once and never again. If I noticed correctly, she didn't take a screenshot. I'm not sure about that, though. I later deleted the account. So, for normal people, this account no longer exists on Instagram.

But now I have a few questions going through my head:

  1. Did she really report me or was she just trying to mislead me?
  2. If so, how likely is it that I'll get something from the police or something?
  3. How long does it take until I receive something?
  4. What consequences/punishments can I expect?

  1. Whoever sounds great often does not. You can easily view it without threatening it enormously.
  2. If you can be identified as a debtor, 100%.
  3. Many months.
  4. This depends on whether you can prove the deed. See StGB.

The big question is whether they or Instagram have any usable records about it.

I would look forward to the matter, the competence with regard to such offences in German judiciary is difficult to wish, most likely nothing happens here for one or more of the reasons mentioned. It’s not excluded.

But: Learn what’s going on and behave in the future!

And even if not let down. What happens in German courts? There’s nothing for such a failure. Not even if it was pure intention

  2. Depends on how much you could assign your account and whether you were using normal or VPN/Proxy Instagram. If not, it’s not unlikely that you’ll get mail.
  3. This usually takes several weeks/months.

So I didn’t use a VPN. However, I have not given any private information about me now.

do you know when to get the exact parole or a fine and how high one would be?

There won’t happen much if you didn’t have an account of you and had your name +address publicly you can’t identify yourself and display an unwanted naked photo is too heavy anyway and the police don’t take that seriously and you said that was a mistake.
