I'm currently practicing for a German essay that involves analyzing a poem. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble determining the meter for this poem. It would be really nice if someone could help me.

A poem can be “compare” badly. You need another work to compare. You should also know both works sufficiently well to compare them.
Otherwise, it’s like saying, “Night, it’s colder than outside.” The “compares” but terms from completely different meanings.
