Antibiotikum schlägt nicht an, soll ich es absetzen?

Wegen einer Mandelentzündung nehme ich seit 4 Tagen Antibiotikum allerdings ist es kein bisschen besser geworden. Woran kann das liegen und soll ich es dann absetzen?

Hello,

in many cases, an antibiotic therapy in a tonsillit is not necessary at all, since in most cases it is a purely viral infection. For this, there is also a possibly missing stop of antibiotic therapies.

Complaints such as swallow pain, sore throat, swelling and ecstasy are not a safe sign of bacterial infection, but are among the dominant symptoms of an uncomplicated course.

Nonetheless, if prescribed, take ready.

Depending on how you should take it according to the doctor, you should take it. If it doesn’t get better, you should contact the practice again (maybe enough by phone).

It may be that these bacteria are not sensitive to this antibiotic. They could also be resistant. Then you need another means.
