Call from the doctor if the results are worse?

Hello,

On November 19th I had an appointment with a gynecologist for a general cancer screening and a test for chlamydia.
The doctor said she'd call if the results weren't perfect. That hadn't happened until today, so I assumed everything was fine. This morning I called again to make sure everything was really okay.
The lady then told me that the Pap smear was very abnormal and needed to be repeated. The other test was negative. When I asked why I hadn't received a call, as agreed, she replied: "You have to take care of your own concerns; I'm only responsible for appointments!"

Is this normal? I think the doctor specifically said I didn't need to call because she'd get in touch if anything unusual happened.

I'm really considering changing doctors and having the test repeated. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hello, I'm starting my apprenticeship as a bricklayer on September 1st. I've already signed and submitted my apprenticeship contract. In your case, something went wrong, of course, which is very unsightly. In your position, I would discuss this with the doctor on the next practical date, and, by the way, the inappropriate behaviour of her receptionist.

I would not change the practice if I was otherwise quite satisfied with the work of the doctor. Of course, I can understand and feel your trouble, that’s not a question. – Best regards, Imke =)

It may be that it has been under stress, gynecologists have a lot about their ears, probably more than most other doctors. Is a really bad job…

But I would also consider a change in the unfriendly MFA.
