It’s understandable that your first op is a bit afraid of you.

Normally there is a conversation with the anesthetist before the procedure (personal experience), where you should specify your correct weight if you are not yet weighed; this is also important because the dosage of the medication is calculated due to your weight.

Since you are professionally monitored all the time, your vitals are constantly controlled, it is really rare in today’s time that someone awakens uncontrolledly.

I wish you the best for your op and good recovery:-)

You should definitely specify your correct weight and that you can wake up, but then you get an anesthesia right away and don’t get that right with

It won’t happen. A team will take care of you and you will not wake up until you actually have to, this is the anesthetist’s job.

Just let me know tomorrow you’ve lost weight. No one will judge you for your body weight, this information is still important.

Happy and successful surgery!

I think you’ve got too much googling….

Don’t be crazy, your fear is unjust, and you’re best talking about the 10kg before the surgery.

At my surgery I didn’t know my weight exactly and had specified a few kilos too little.

You shouldn’t appreciate weight or lie and tell the doctor the truth.

But right on the surgery day, the anesthetic doctor will ask you again how much you weigh and how big you are.

Normally, you get so much anesthesia that you sleep for even a few hours.

Yeah, that can happen. My sister once. The doctors just talked about the food in the canteen.
