The leukocytes tested in a urine test strip are predominantly a certain type associated with bacterial infects.

The leukos which occur in leukemias are immature and would not necessarily occur in such a test. Because they don’t carry the enzyme in themselves, which is tested. In any case, until you have such a violent case that your kidney has broken through the extremely large ‘blasts’ of leukemia, you have long since had symptoms that would have taken you to the hospital.

However, leukos can also be falsified by cells from your skin surface (which are quite safe in it), and yes, also by period blood. This contains both erythrocytes and leukocytes.

The main components of the blood are plasma (the blood fluid), erythhrocytes (red blood cells, important for oxygen/carbon dioxide transport), thrombocytes (blood platelets, important for blood coagulation) and leukocytes (white blood cells, part of the immune system).

Leukemia (=“white blood”) is present, for example, when the number of leukocytes is increased in a pathological manner and this too much of leukocytes also consists of unripe cells. As a result, the erythrocytes are displaced from the blood stream, the affected persons feel anemic.

However, an increased leukocyte number can also indicate an inflammatory process, since leukocytes are part of the immune system.

But did you actually tell your doctor that you came to the blood test so shortly after the end of your menstruation? This information can be very important! So I would advise you to just ask your doctor these questions. She knows better than we do.

It’s about leukocytes in urine.

Then it is a sign of inflammation

OK, then there seems to be an inflammatory process somewhere in your body

Nix Ohje! Don’t panic! As said: Cancer is not with you! Just trust your doctor!

I don’t think it’s better that your doctor would have gone up completely different guns. I know the story of my “blood sister” (you have donated stem cells a few years ago), which was a little more dramatic!

P.S.: Infections and inflammatory processes are not the same!

This depends on the number of leukocytes in urine and the amount of drinking.

With the slightest suspicion of leukemia, your doctor would have arranged a large blood count. A large blood count consists of a small blood count with values > haemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes, thrombocytes, haematocrit and differential blood count. In a differential blood image, the subtypes of the leukocytes are analyzed. If this so-called bladder is present, this indicates leukemia. A bone marrow examination is necessary to confirm the diagnosis.

The normal number of leukocytes in urine is about 5 leukos/per microliter, i.e. up to a certain number of leukocytes in urine are not normally ill.

Do you drink too little?

We’re getting closer to this. You’re suffering from hypochondria. Fear of > Myocardine infarction, thrombosis, aneurysm, glioblastoma, embolie, kidney insufficiency etc.

Are you in psychotherapeutic treatment?

With differential blood?

You don’t get a kidney failure so fast. It’s good that you increased your drinking. Are you afraid of diseases?

I wish you all the best!

Hypochondria is a disease. Are you in psychotherapeutic treatment?

It’s okay! Don’t worry.

leukocytes tend to indicate an infection, e.g. bladder inflammation

Apparently, one is there if you have leukocytes in the urine.

Up to a certain number, leukocytes are normal in urine.

Oh, it sounded so because you wrote it extra, leukocytes were found.
