Afraid of taking antibiotics (penicillin)?

Hello everyone!

I went to the doctor today and he diagnosed me with tonsillitis. The doctor has now prescribed me antibiotics (penicillin).

And being so stupid, I look at the package insert under side effects, and nausea and vomiting are among the most common. Now I'm totally panicking about taking them because of my emetophobia (fear of vomiting). I don't know what to do because I'm so scared.

Would the tonsillitis go away without antibiotics?

Most drugs also have side effects and are even poison for the body. Dispensed, they can fight diseases. In the case of antibiotics, bacteria are killed. Short-term intake, however, is harmless as your body recovers itself. The dosage and duration of the intake will be determined by your doctor!

Diseases such as borreliosis can end very bad, even lethal! I’ve had borreliosis seven times that were always treated with doxycycline.

You should always consider antibiotics in relation to benefits! Then you don’t need to be afraid either! 😊

Good improvement!

Depends on whether it’s a virus or bacteria.

Antibiotics are drugs which are effective against bacteria, but not against viruses.

most common =|= frequent

take the better, your doctor hasn’t prescribed you for free, otherwise it may be much worse for you

The consequences of an angry angina can be even more harmful than that of an antibiotic. And most doctors do not prescribe this without reason
