Beginner car – Car for beginners Mercedes e190 or BMW e32-36?

Hello readers, I'm about to finish school and get my driver's license afterward, and I'm looking for a car to start with. My idea is probably a bit over the top, but that's because I know enough people who drive cars like Opel Corsas or Ford KAs, and they're just not for me in any way.

I've got my eye on the Mercedes Benz e190 because I really like the design and the car itself. It's also common in our family for the first car to be a Benz. But I also find the older BMW e32 or 34 models very appealing. I would also like the e36, but not anything newer.

I just wanted to ask what you think of these cars as a beginner's vehicle and whether you could recommend something else or give me tips regarding buying a car as a beginner?

Thank you in advance! 🙂

Hello!

From the 190s I would like to guess —–> which is currently quite expensive; even the base-190E in Impala-Metallic with four-speed transmission and manual sliding roof as well as 250000 Km, four previous owners and unexplained maintenance book history are currently offered as a “love piece” and “very rare” for 2500 Eurons and would be worth a third at most … and then people are wondering when nobody reports. At the W124 it is even worse to buy it almost only as a very late E200 from 1993 if you want to harmonize one at the price and performance halfway… and even then the W210 is simply better, because in five years we can speak again, then we celebrate the W202. I grew up in the W124, and it was for society before approx. 10-15 years as with the most embarrassing grandpa or alien car you could imagine. remembers someone else

In comparison, I definitely advise you on the C180 W202 ——-> as it floats a lot from the W201 character, but it is in every respect the better, more modern, high-quality and more modern car. Also fair & not half as bad as the 190s or 124s fans like to talk to him. I’ve been driving this for several years and I’ve never been better and never cheaper AUto (C180 Classic from April 1997). There are good specimens for a maximum of 2000 Euros, often “from the pensioner” & ready for travel C180 with a year TÃœV or even new HU you can drive up for less than 1000 Euros. I also know the 190s & have to say that he is very much the W202 is the clearly worse car. No matter what the youngtimer lovers say to speak the 190s nicely —-> he is narrow, small, uncomfortable and the lack of any safety equipment except ABS from 1988 makes him more uninteresting for everyday life than ever.

Therefore —-> if Mercedes, then a W202. Is the consistent further development of the 190er, which eradicates its weaknesses and can improve everything.

In the case of BMW, I would advise from the E32 —–> the old sevens from “One case for two” with Rainer Hunold is cool but always more rare to find & moreover has as 730i a fuel consumption that is no longer contemporary in everyday life.

For beginners, they are all suitable —–> I was just under 23, when I bought the C180 & never regretted it. My first car was a 1989 Audi 100, i.e. a car that ranked between E34 and E32 from the size, and so I was perfectly right:) At the 520i you cannot be disturbed by the 150 hp: It’s so hard to get ahead with it, but a heater or hustleman’s car isn’t that.

Hope I could help you!

The last real Mercedes is the W123^

He just got this massive gig. If you look with the forerunner, it looks quite different than with a W124 or all the newer ones.

Straight bonnet, star top, that makes just what

Right —-> there are still some, usually 200 or 230E later years of construction with DIN license plates and in colors such as green, yellow, red or blue.. the hansablauen 200s I saw the new first owner on the Reweparkplatz 🙂

But the feeling with the hood and star as well as the typical Mercedes-Aura of the 80s are also quite true in the W202. Also the combination instrument with the same arrangement as in the 123s and the center console is just as if there is no armrest, but for this it is the long storage compartment with fleece insert, which is still typical W123 🙂

Euro 2 is already relatively cheap in the tax —–> my C180 costs around 130 euros, so a 520i would land at about 150.

I have absolutely no connection with them. I don’t like the W140 either. But it is known that taste cannot be denied And that the carts are technically very good, I do not want to deny that. Only a few problems with electrics sometimes have them if I am quite mindful 🙂

I was just saying that on the inside:)

From the outside, the W202 is a mercilessly reduced copy of the W140, which I like about it especially well because I also like the W140 very much 🙂

In the W124 (230E from 1989 before model care, even without sacco boards) I grew ——-> was a reliable car that served us for 23 years and more than 270000 Km with low maintenance costs and with which my grandpa and I were also happy to travel. we have the very liked & hung very on our smoke-silver Benz, but now the 124 is simply overhauled.

For a few years, the 230E ran parallel to my Audi 100 C3, which was also approved for the first time in 1989 four weeks after the Benz, and which, despite the older concept, felt much fresher, agile, more munter and also in the interior, much more valued, more modern and more sophisticated. that was a newer generation of cars! The 230E acted like a stone car in direct comparison with the Audi 100 C3. I brought him to me at the end of 2008, that was the time when I first started to see the 124. A great car was Grandpa’s Mercedes anyway, he gave us a lot of pleasure & was always there when something was ^ not just a car but a friend on four wheels 🙂 Therefore, my deep connection to Mercedes of the 80s/90s is also due!

Jap, from inside.

Not at all.

I can’t really describe it, but if a W123 goes to you, see I’m a bullying Mercedes.

At the W124, I only see a car that feels behind me on every street corner. To this end, the design absolutely does not meet my taste

I also know one who drives a W123. Full hut with everything you want. It is also very reliable…

at e32 and e36 you have to find out for unjustified searches but you will be happy with even if I recommend the E46…

At Benz there is something similar to the rust, but there are no real vulnerabilities.

What kind of price are we talking here? So nen Astra H is also quite inexpensive to have and from safety it is quite different house number.

In the years of construction that weave you, I would pay attention to the condition of the car and not to the brand.

Just do the lapel first, you need to look a little bit.

As a beginner, you should take a car anyway, which doesn’t matter if something should happen. The older Japanese are unbeatable, from maintenance and also from maintenance. I was too early mobile with a nem old Nissan Sunny Combi, except wearing parts he never had anything – that was just driving and that was.

After that I moved to a 98 Corolla, I never left myself alone. I then sold it further when I moved to my 86 Corolla, who also never had any technical problems and I still drive it today.

Just look around the Japanese: Corolla,Civic,Impreza etc.

If the number is greater: Carina,Accord,Legacy etc.

These are youngtimer for lovers, second car as a hobby, but no reliable first car / everyday car to get from A to B, for that they are just too old.

E190 is cool. If you take a bmw, don’t belong to those who don’t have my blinkers

Have the impression that the blinker at the Benz were also extra charge tiles;)

They’re not cars, that’s veteran sports. You have to count on mysterious defects and staggers at any time, where no one finds out what it’s about – already because they’re approaching their 30 years and slowly but surely embrittle the cable harnesses and all that.

The baby spirit is with a reasonable motorization one of the best cars there is at all. Of course you should take a gasoline with Kat.

Wish you a lot of success to find a good-lasting car.

Why? I know two who got this first car…. Why? The parents say in a sardine can is barely security and in such a karre more than enough if anything happens.. Of course, the car must be cared for. tax costs 230€ a year and insurance 70€ /month goes and the car gets already cheap for 10000€
