Amazon blocks account for no reason?
Hello
I have a question. My wife's Amazon account was blocked for no reason because there were apparently outstanding payments on another Amazon account (but there's only one). I've already spoken to them and they want to forward it to the responsible department and they'll get back to you after two working days. However, I don't believe that, because my wife wanted to order something (worth around €170) using Amazon credit. She was able to place the order, but after a few seconds it was canceled and she received an email saying that the order had been canceled because they couldn't confirm that the account belonged to her.
What else can you do?
And as I said, there is no other Amazon account and absolutely no outstanding debts, as payments are always made with Amazon credit.
Normally, Amazon offers in case of doubt about who the account belongs the opportunity to provide evidence to get back the account. Electricity bill or the like.
Is there another outstanding demand or not?
The combination of doubts about identity + pending demand can be sufficient as a reason for Amazon.
My wife was asked to provide proof, in which mail was also in it that she can take the ID (front and back), she has also done it and it should be controlled, but that is already days ago. There is absolutely no open demands, because it always pays with Amazon credits. But funny is one, we have ordered a spare part for our suction robot on monthly bill and pay the bill on 1.2.2025 immediately (also have proof that money has arrived), but if my wife wants to order a phone with cover for ~170€ by Amazon credit, it will be canceled.
Wait, Amazon will check this and will explain it if something is present
If I really want to wait, I’ve been waiting for more than 1 week, because since last week someone wanted to report and today they told me (because I’ve been on the phone) that I’m supposed to wait 2 working days, the competent department will report to me. I just wanted to start laughing. 😁
Then it’s just that, unfounded Amazon doesn’t actually lock
You want to tell me something for my wife now. Be careful if you don’t know my wife, because we have absolutely no secrets. And now omit such statements that go completely past the subject.
Vlt you don’t know anything about your wife🤷🏼
And be it. There are allegedly still open invoices on another Amazon account, ABER there is only one account and that was also checked by Amazon whether there is only one account.
