Amazon Returns – To which account will the refund be transferred?

Hello dear community,

I recently ordered something from Amazon, which was marked as undeliverable and is now being returned. I'll be getting a refund in a few days.

My question is, where is the money transferred? I paid via SEPA direct debit with my bank account. Will the money be credited back to my bank account, or will it go to my Amazon gift card account? I would prefer it to go back to my bank account. I read that it goes to the original account, but I wanted to be sure.
