Am I seeing this correctly (please really read this, K-Pop fans)?

Hey.

I never thought I, as a K-pop fan and stan, would ever write this. But it's important, and I don't want anyone to hate or make fun of it.

Recently I saw a video from ZDF called:

"K-Pop – Global Hype and Dark Abysses"

This video showed, without hate, the other side of K-Pop that I already know and am aware of:

It's a toxic industry with many toxic fans. Many paint a rosy picture and honestly believe that everything is as fun and loving as the members of these bands portray themselves. The idols aren't themselves and suffer. They're forced to diet; looking perfect is a must; they train for hours and days, barely sleep, and suffer inhumane stress because what's demanded of them is simply unbelievable. And yet, they still present us with this perfect image of themselves.

I saw videos of BTS members, for example, almost collapsing at the end of their concerts, fainting, and looking unhealthy. I can't stand it. Seeing how these people suffer and are forced to do things. It's not just about BTS, no, no, it affects everyone. They all suffer. And they all have to go through that horrific training period. Some took their own lives.

I don't want to stop being in the Army and support them more or anything. No, that's not what I meant.

But… I want answers.

Are these people really not themselves…?

And if so… do we really only love these people for their fake side?

What do you think about this, whether you're a K-Pop stan or not?

The important thing is: Please respect the artists and don't hate.πŸ’œ

Thanks for all the answers. <3

So,

I’ve been busy with it a bit, and it really took me to see how some of the Idols were broken after concerts, but you could only learn this from mobile phones because the cameras didn’t film it. Generally, there are so many bad pages from Kpop, this is really sad. However, it is now the dream of these people to become idols, and have trained and helped. I don’t think nobody knew it wouldn’t be easy to be Idol. I don’t want to say that it is the fault of the Idols, rather the hurdle of the entertainments and that of the hate and toxic fans.

But as the Idols Idols are wilful, we should support them by showing them how much we appreciate them and like their music, they support them and those who do not like this music do not use them. Of course, this is not only true for the kpop industry.

And I think with time the Idols will be allowed more, they can become a piece far more they themselves before the camera.

Hope this answer has helped <3

Every well-known personality (no matter what industry) is in public. You want to be liked and successful, that only works if you do exactly what fans demand from one. Nevertheless, they are looking for everything themselves – if you don’t agree with it as a trainee or idol, you wouldn’t extend and stop his contracts. Of course, you will be there without a job and possibly with debt, but this is the price you have to pay for it

To get back to BTS specifically: BTS are the most successful (Kpop) band and 10 years (except for training) in industry. They didn’t have it easy at the beginning, of course, but respect and freedoms have worked out. If they were unsatisfied with the band or entertainment, they would have left their contract to expire in 2020 and not extended until 2030+. All members are so successful that they could have received better offers from other record companies, but they have deliberately decided against it.

Of course, BTS are under pressure and do not want/may publicly commit any mistakes or disappoint their fans somehow, so they give concerts until their body is at the limit – certainly also because you would otherwise make losses. But I don’t think that someone who doesn’t like his job and is 100% hired to let his whole arm full with band and fan name. BTS generally have more freedom than other bands and can therefore certainly also reveal more of their own personality.

Well, this whole thing is well known, but at the end every fan has to decide for himself. Many of them hide it and don’t want to see it. However, one must also note that the artists voluntarily enter it. No one catches her on the street. Maybe it’s like the model industry. You actually know that there is a bone job and physically absolutely dangerous (matching etc) and yet there are always those who want to do it.

So clearly, sometimes they have to be one I’m badly love side all show very often, but that doesn’t mean they’re not as they show themselves. However, none of us except her and her group probably knows how all the ticks. However, I don’t believe all that they show from search is feaket.

Some people really feel bad after the concerts because it was too much or too long or other.

In some groups, there are also some disputes, unfortunately, sometimes even a fight, either you see little or nothing. However, they all tear together to work still when it is not possible to leavt one. I’m sorry.

Zb but also Seungri IG you really liked him so many because you always thought he is so great and nice, very pretty etc. And then from the next drug scandal, whitening and still knows what was the case with eubem exo member too.

Let’s take Bangchan from Straykids. I don’t think that you as he takes time in his lives to do something with his fans and to help them mentally if it’s just about money or you don’t show your true side as he really always seemed real with his real reaction I think he was there in every case I showed.

It doesn’t bring you now but break your head about if everything she shows is fake because ivh would say somewhere there is still the right side of them as they really are and tick.

I hope this whole thing could help you, even though some things are weirdly written by me, I say.

Yes I have already asked this question, but no one answers me. But I believe the fans also support them (the real ones) and they do me really sorry, because I don’t know if really ALL is true. It is so sad πŸ˜” and as I said I don’t know if ALL is true..But by BTS I definitely know that they also have free time but also a lot of work…

K-Pop is like any mainstream music a multi-billion business. You cannot be so naive and believe that these people present themselves. You have to do exactly what marketing says. Just to reach the broad mass. I can even imagine that they don’t even write the songs themselves. The singers are only those who present and present these songs. Everything has been perfected to the smallest. Mainstream music for singing, 08/15 heartache songs without deeper content etc

Hi, I’m just saying “Augen at the career choice.”

As you say correctly, this is known and certainly not a new knowledge, but that is all, really all pure business.

The nicer the fans are to you, the more you love them, everything will be practiced and trained, because then coal will be spent… that is almost always the case with all the artists… whether they are not themselves I cannot judge but speaks more for me in the KPop area than against it.

You love the product, because it is trimmed just as it is most likely… formulated completely neutral.

But this is not forbidden, but unfortunately it is like puppy trade: as long as this is supported, the framework environment will not change and improve for those affected.

Regardless of the environment, what I don’t think is that they can’t. I’m not a KPop fan, but I keep following the discussions and then watch the videos. This is all made clear and often sung and danced well… but the price of the artists is high.

But as I said, they want to go there voluntarily, and “whoever closes the pact with the devil must not complain when he feels the trident in the ass.”

I hope that was neutral and respectful enough.
