There is normal feces stuck to the hamster's fur. Is that normal or something bad?

Hello, I got myself a teddy hamster a day ago. I got all the equipment for the enclosure except for a sand bath. However, I've noticed that there is feces caught in the fur on its back, but it's not runny or creamy. Is that normal or should I go to the vet?

As far as I do not know this can come if you do not clean the cage properly even the small chambers when the hamster has stuff of wood where is a hole with floor and hamster urgently need sand baths take best chinchillasand un a tub which is not too big not too small

For example, you could cut his fur so that he can clean it easier

Where’s the hamster and where’s the equipment? I doubt, unfortunately, that the hamster has a beautiful life right now.

Teddyhamsters need special litter and good care. They are often overbreededed.

Let him go and see if he gets it himself out. To touch him, he would only be very stressful at the moment.

A cage?

Please inform yourself correctly about hamster keeping, for example, on Diebrain.de (is just slightly outdated). Dehner has no good food, the goats are not suitable, animals come from high-quality mass breeding, equipment is not good.

100x50cm is the absolute minimum. Hamster actually needed at least the double. In addition 30cm or more litter. Important is a multi-chamber house, impeller with 30cm or more diameter and sand bath.

I’m just asking you to get the right information so your hamster doesn’t have to suffer. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a Teddyhamster so far, that could help you paint 3 better. But if the hamster is so new, you shouldn’t just touch it.

As far as I know it is at Teddys (some people have extremely long coats at the back) okey when they are removed from the coat. Of course, don’t just knock out, but it’s right. Or how do you see that? In some cases, it’s super fast.

Yes, you can do that when the hamster is halfway and not completely new. Touching a new hamster and doing scissors or something is stressful and dangerous.

Very happy and thank you for taking care of the hamster and for telling you again!
