Hello, I'm unemployed this month and would like to start my new job next month. I'm just wondering if it's possible they'd like me to start on January 1st (I'm starting at a nursing home). I'd personally like to start work on January 6th, since that's a Monday, or January 2nd at the earliest. Can I tell my employer when I'd like to start without any problems, or will that make me unpopular?
