Alternative to the mobile phone as a navigation system?

Since this morning, my phone (iPhone SE 2020) has been doing this: turning off every five minutes and then turning back on by itself after about a minute. I have no idea what could be causing this or what I can do about it.

The bigger problem, however, is that I'm driving today (a Toyota CHR) and need my phone as a navigation system, otherwise I'll have trouble getting home. I already got lost on the way there because my phone kept cutting out.

Maybe someone has an idea what I can best do in such a situation?

I’d make a reset. https://support.apple.com/de-de/guide/iphone/iph8903c3ee6/ios If this doesn’t help, the other advice is still here.

You can see if the car has a navigator at the Entertainment System. If there’s “Nav”, you’re lucky.

If it should be fast and cheap, an old-fashioned map. Otherwise a real navigation?

I had the phone too. With me, it’s a water damage. Look if it can still vibrate. With me the engine was otherwise broken, probably from the water, and caused a short circuit. I just removed it and from there on the phone has no longer restarted all zwej minutes.

Buy a map on paper and write out the route.

So we did this before the Navi devices.

You’ll get such cards in gas stations today.

And as old as I am not, I was born 90. Only my grandparents go around today with maps instead of navi and so I grew up like that;-)

There are maps at each gas station.
