Probably DDR3 RAM old and DDR4 new – this doesn’t fit.

Except that you don’t mix RAM.

depends on which RAM it is about.
Villeicht doesn’t even fit.

But if it fits, it basically works. Can perform worse because the old RAM is more slow (less mhz)
Or can lead to instability because you mix RAM kits.
4 bars make problems rather than just 2 bars.

If the RAM capacity from the new PC is enough, there is no reason to expand it. More RAM than is needed, hardly any power.

You could do it and I didn’t really understand what you wrote, but the more Eam the better.
