Alte HDD (Maxtor) mit Win95 auslesen?
Hallo zusammen,
Does she turn when you plug the Ugreen adapter into the socket? This can be heard and felt in old hard drives, you can also hold your ear, then you can hear the snucking of the read/write heads. Try if you hear anything?
Hach, a 4320 megabytes big plate! It’s like before;-) I also had a 500 MB, a 1600 MB and then much later a 10000 MB hard drive – I still have it. And it’s time after 20 years to get the ollen plates from the basement and connect them with a proper adapter. Was there always IDE or had the plates before other connections? I’ll see.
Yes, I hear that the record turns and I see it in the device manager too! But don’t see anything in the Explorer…
Yes, that was probably before my time (23J. old)…
Try to access the plate with DMDE. If this is not possible, try using the demo version of r-Studio.com to determine the SMART values of the HDD.
PS.: Just access and do not start searches!!
I’m trying to thank you for the support!
Hello, Timos,
See if you can see the hard drive? If so, you can assign a letter.
But don’t click Formatting, sometimes he asks if he should format that is not a case. 🙏
Let me try and report back – thank you! 🙂
