Allergic skin reaction to wasp sting or normal?

I was stung by a wasp out of nowhere on Tuesday morning (I had never been stung by a wasp or bee before either) and apart from pain and a bit of swelling/redness around the sting site (not even 1cm in radius) there was really nothing.
By the evening, the area had actually healed so well that even some of the mosquito bites I currently have looked worse.

Overnight, I suddenly experienced extreme itching, and the skin and puncture site were red again, this time in a much larger area. (see image)

Even today the spot is still almost the same size and still slightly discolored.

Now I wanted to ask if this is normal or if it is perhaps a mild allergic reaction (which you should discuss with your doctor at some point).

I would be very happy about answers and thank you in advance to everyone who has read this <3

Your immune system responded to the insect bite. Because the skin reaction is a symptoms of delayed allergy. You can ask your doctor for more allergies.

Yes – is normal and actually an allergic reaction to the wasp poison.

But there is no reason to worry.
