Alice in Borderland ending?

I finished watching the Netflix series, but I don't really understand the ending.

I know that everyone who was in the "game" was hit by a meteorite and was gone for 1 minute.

But what does that mean? I understood it this way: in the one minute when everyone had a cardiac arrest, they were transported to another world, so it was all actually "real," only in another world where everything lasted much longer, but in the real world, it was only one minute.

The reason I understood it that way is because everyone had injuries in the same places in real life as in the game.
