Alcohol consumption?
Hello and happy Sunday everyone!
I have a question for people who regularly consume alcohol and may have even been addicted to it.
When I drink alcohol, I feel so disgusting after the first few sips that I don't even want to drink any more because everything hurts. Not to mention the hangover the next day, that's pure hell for me.
Now to the question: Is my body's reaction simply "abnormal" or how do you manage to find pleasure in it?
And for those who were/are truly addicted: Does the hangover ever go away? Is there a phase where you just get over the hangover and then at some point it just turns into having to drink to get over the withdrawal symptoms?
I just can't understand how anyone can keep putting up with this hangover.
I have to say, I drink so rarely that I really can't stand anything anymore; after just one beer I'm already reeling.
Basically, I simply lack the understanding of how people overcome this unpleasant feeling so that addiction even occurs
I hope you understand what I mean and my question is not meant to come across as disrespectful, somehow it's just difficult to formulate it π«
Hello!
People like you and I who do not have the genetic condition that belongs to alcoholic disease can never understand how alcoholics think.
There is a lecture by two dry alcoholics in which they explain the disease so that even people who are not alcoholic can understand a bit as an alcoholic thinks. You can read or hear the lecture: JoeAndCharlie – Former Adulan / Former High Grapes
oh many thanks, I will listen to that!π
Presumably, they have slowly increased the dose, or simply tolerate more alcohol naturally, do not have such a strong hangover.
Motivation of alcoholics is often the drowning of worries and unpleasant feelings in the alcohol. You can become more relaxed, more communicative and fun, or relax better. Others tend to aggression and violence through the alcohol.
Pain due to alcohol is abnormal.
I don’t drink any alcohol at all, and I feel like you. In addition, I feel alcoholized people as brutally annoying. I’ll stay away if possible.

That you have pain in drinking sounds abnormal.
However, there are also allergies or Incompatibility, so that you cannot consume the desired substance.
It also feels like a bite like an allergy, my nose somehow swells from inside, I feel like I suddenly had a very pronounced nippingπ€·π» βοΈ
Sounds like allergy.
