Alcohol banned on Deutsche Bahn?

A question for anyone who has recently traveled by train, especially between Thuringia and Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg: Is there currently a ban on alcohol on RE and IC trains? Or, to be more specific: is it advisable/critical/forbidden to drink a small glass of sparkling wine on the train? Because I'm clearly distinguishing between drunken rioters and people who want a drink after work or on vacation. Bread rolls or similar items are allowed at your seat, right?

IC/ICE: Alcohol in any case allowed, is sold by the train itself there.

RE: No general ban by the DB, at most in some traffic associations. This, however, is not enforced in the RE.

Ergo: As long as you don't organize a mass deception, no problem.

So here in BW (Before at the Wasenzeit…) you can also sit on the train with the large champagne bottle. If a controller has a bad day, he can only ask you not to drink the alcohol on the train and do it in the bag (if available…).

You haven't been getting drunk ^^

Alcohol is generally prohibited in VVS. How much this is done is of course another question.

The railway itself does not generally prohibit alcohol consumption, but there can be such a ban in some regional transport networks. In Wikipedia the Rheinbahn, the Verkehrsverbund Stuttgart and the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund will be listed. However, the bread at the seat is still allowed, of course, only as long as you do not harass or soil fellow travelers.

My knowledge. There are regional differences, but here we are allowed.

If I'm not mistaken, it's in the transport guidelines that you can't fellow harass travelers or trainers with alcohol. So smell/consumer. That is why it is probably considered not too good if someone tipped one ^^

Alcohol is even sold in IC and ICE, which is not a problem.

Well, it's something else than if you're taking yourself. The train deserves nothing, it has to get something with alcohol for 20€/beer…

Yes, it's allowed. If the conductor thinks that you drank too much, he can, of course, exclude you from the further journey at any time.

It won't be a problem. Cheers!

Look at the hints at the doors when you get in. Take a 2nd bottle with you and if the ticket controller likes you, press the 2nd bottle in his hand.

So with us can drink wonderfully, but so much I definitely know in the Metronome and I also believe in the NWB a ban on alcohol. However, they are only in the north of Germany, as with other trains I have no idea. ICE, IC, RE and RB are not likely to be a ban, as we said at least in the north.

It is not forbidden in Germany to consume alcohol during a train journey. Even alcoholic drinks are sold in the on-board restaurants.

Of course, one can get a problem if one can go in such a way that one is no longer master of his senses and deeds. But you get a problem everywhere and not just on the train.

Otherwise, there is nothing against alcohol in terms of a train ride.

There are some trains where alcohol consumption is prohibited, for example in the Metronome trains. The DB has such bans as far as I know but nowhere.

Möönsch: In the IC/ICE you will be served in the first class by train staff beer, wine, liquor and others!

Here you find the map:

https://www.bahn.de/p/view/service/zug/bordgastronomie/monatesaktion.shtml

So if you kill a bottle and don't get out of it, don't talk about it!

As long as you don't fill it isn't a problem
