Albin or Alban?
I'm writing a story right now and I don't know what to name one of the characters.
By the way, his last name is Leuen.
Who from the Golden Trio is your favorite character?
I find it easier to write while out and about in cafes. Why?
I'm currently writing a Warrior Cats story (like so many others) and would love to hear your favorite (made-up) Warrior Cats names. And it doesn't matter what fur color the name matches. Please just do me a favor and write the names one under the other, it's much clearer. Thank you in advance and happy…
I recently moved, and apparently my box with all my old diaries was accidentally identified as trash and thrown away. I have now bought a new one, but I have the following problem: How do I catch up on all of this now? I had written down important memories and experiences in my diaries, the…
Decide for some name.
BEIDE are perfectly fine, BEIDE can be taken and the character and the figure stands and surely does not fall with how you call it now.
Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon of Cintra would not be less her own if she was actually Anna Ingeborg Klopstock.
I know, but I can’t decide.
Then throw a coin or dice it out.
Or go back to you and take the name you like best. I would never have written a fanfiction about Philippa Eilhart a few weeks ago, because I knew that I would have to constantly look at her name or spelling.
The problem that I’m fluctuating between the two names all the time, as they’re pretty much the same.
I’ve written them two chapters so far.
Openly confessed, THAT sounds more like none of the two names fit right. If you have two matching names, it’s okay. Then you take one of them and write off, and in case of emergency you change it.
How much of the story HAST you already wrote?
It’s just much easier to write when the name fits. It’s the same as the appearance of a person. Usually it is not important whether the character has black or brown hair, but if they are brown for me, then I can work worse with black.
But would it not be better to find out for yourself? As I said, if I have a book in front of me, I look at things other than if I like the name of the main character. That’s just a point that doesn’t matter, and in the worst case, you’ll take the universal set-up from some point and change the name in the whole novel.
What would it bring you if I write now, I find both stupid, call your figure Yennefer’
Or just add IRGENDWAS to what I like spontaneously better… then I like it… but in my eyes this is not the task of a character name you have in a story that probably read even more people.
And before that turns into an eternally long discussion.
Suum Cuique.
Okay?
Thank you.
A coin’s throw is too inaccurate.
In the end, I know that I find one of the two names better, but not one.
In this way, I can see if I agree with the arguments of others, or if I still like the name.
Juno’s fine.
Alban is Albanian:)
XForgottenHopeX greets;)
hmm
Alban is white
Albin sounds too much like Albino. I always have a person with pigment disorders.
