Alarm clocks don't wake me up anymore?

Hi, I have a very loud alarm clock that can be heard throughout the house, but even though it works, I can't hear it anymore, probably because I'm sleeping too deeply. I once put the alarm clock right at the back above the closet, and the next morning it was in front of my bed, as if I was sleepwalking. How can I avoid not hearing the alarm?

From experience, I know that I hear the alarm better or worse depending on how urgent it is. 😅 If I have to get up for an appointment that's unnecessary for me, I might not even notice the first or second alarm. If I know in the evening that I have to work the early shift or have something important planned, I wake up immediately. If that's the case for you, you could remind yourself in the evening why you have to get up at that time. Then your mind will somehow register it more clearly.

Otherwise, you could be overworked and your body is just so tired that it doesn't want to get up. Then you should somehow quickly fit in some breaks so that everything functions smoothly again.

Do you have an alarm clock where you can change the sound?

The body can get used to noises, which is why some people can sleep in an apartment near the train station. Give your brain something new.
