The best way to drive directly to the old town is to stroll along the streets (with a variety of shopping facilities) towards the Rhine. On the promenade there you can take long walks, depending on the pleasure and mood, or in one of the cafes of the so-called barracks. Boat tours also start here.
Not too far away is the possibility to explore the Rhine Tower with an elevator, from there you have a magnificent view of Düsseldorf and the surrounding area!
If this is not enough, cross the Rhine bridge to the harbour area with the architecturally unique Gehry buildings . It is also possible to connect a fussive trip to the trendy Oberkassel (also on the other side of the Rhine).
