Airline?
Which airline do you prefer for intra-European flights?
Which airline do you prefer for intra-European flights?
Hello, I built my first drone a few weeks ago. A kind of freestyle FPV quadcopter, if you can call it that. My knowledge is quite limited since, as I said, this was the first one I built myself. My problem is that my drone shakes a bit in the air. As far as I…
Hello, Can you repeat the DLR test to become a pilot? I've already done some research on this myself, but I'm not entirely sure. One source says you can only do it once. Another says things have changed, and you can try again after a certain amount of time. Does anyone know anything current about…
We are flying from Germany to Cyprus and are not sure whether a passport is required
Hello everyone, I wanted to track a friend's flight and it said that since flight 2424 was delayed, his flight 2425 would probably be delayed too. Scheduled departure of 2425 would be at 19:15, landing of 2424 was 19:30. What is the procedure now for the 2424? I think he loads now and then back…
Hello, on my flight to Turkey, my suitcase was stolen at the airport by an elderly man. The airline initially thought it had been left at the airport in Düsseldorf. This wasn't the case, however, and we were told to go to the airport and check the CCTV cameras. After filing a criminal complaint, we…
I don't see it that way at all.
You can call it that.
I call it personal experience and knowledge of RyanAir's questionable corporate policies.
If I could get the same service with RyanAir as with Lufthansa and it was also cheaper, I would choose RyanAir. But that's not the case.
Right. I'm also writing about experiences.
That is not a fact.
Please answer the following question: Why should I, as a frequent flyer, let a FORMER frequent flyer or you tell me how to find Lufthansa when I can regularly observe it myself?
Well, that shows how biased you are 😉
I'd rather pay €200 more for exactly the same service just because it says LH instead of Ryanair.
And it's not about opinion, but facts. And the fact is, Lufthansa is now abysmally bad. It's not for nothing that they lost their fifth Skytrax*, for example.
But let LH continue to rip you off.
As a former LH frequent flyer writes:
"I've unfortunately had to use the word "bad" far too often in this post, and Lufthansa's current status is truly underwhelming. There are many, many things that unfortunately have to be described as simply "bad." https://frankfurtflyer.de/wie-schlecht-ist-lufthansa-aus-sichtweise-eines-lufthansa-vielfliegers/
And I don't care what you see.
I can't confirm that experience at all.
As I said, I don't care about your sources.
I make my own experiences and don't need websites telling me what to think.
And I will never board a Ryanair plane, even if the flight were free.
It doesn't really matter what you see. But most real frequent flyers see it that way. With Lufthansa, you get worse service than with low-cost airlines these days, but at significantly higher prices.

To name just a few.
I have not had any problems with Eurowings so far, everything worked as ordered, with Ryanair there were only problems, as the normal luggage had to be carried all the way to the plane and therefore I had to hand over my good Swiss knife to the x-ray machine because you are not allowed to take such things with you, and each bag cost extra money.
m
Uh, no. Ryanair also allows you to check in your checked baggage. You probably only booked hand luggage.
No, because everyone had to carry their large luggage to the plane, then it was taken from us and loaded onto the plane
Yes, if the plane doesn't have enough space, that can happen too. I had that happen once on a 20-minute flight. But it still counts as hand luggage, even if it's loaded onto the plane.
The plane wasn't full, all hold luggage was loaded as it was, but it wasn't with Ryanair, but rather an intra-European flight with a Dash turboprop, it was a few years ago
Ah, you're right; an article said they were closing their base there. But they're still flying out. Reading takes practice.
The point still stands. The fact is that you can't take checked baggage through security. It's not even permitted according to IATA. I think the person is simply unfamiliar with the fares and booked carry-on baggage instead of checked baggage.
Unfortunately, you're just telling fairy tales. According to the IATA, this isn't allowed at all. You must have had a carry-on baggage fare and not checked baggage.
Then google FR4026! 🤦♂️
let it be I have nothing more to add, no matter what I write
No, if the flight is full, people will be asked to check in their actual hand luggage (at the gate/plane). This is the case with every airline, including Lufthansa, Swiss, British Airways, KLM, etc.
But I checked it in as hold luggage and not as hand luggage, otherwise I would have had to take it into the cabin, but it wasn't with Ryan
The hand luggage trolley weighs 8 kg. You're also confusing something here. You probably only booked the hand luggage fare.
Checked baggage starts at 10kg, and the Ryanair website also clearly states;
"If you would like to check in a piece of baggage, you can add a 10 kg piece of checked baggage to your booking. These bags must be dropped off at the airport check-in counter before the security check and will be stored in the aircraft's cargo hold."
But I had the same experience, together with 8kg checked baggage trolley with shuttle bus directly to the plane, there before boarding the trolley was placed on an open luggage trolley, boarded, and during this time the trolley was loaded onto the plane
No, not at all. You misunderstood something. Again, this is completely illegal! The scanners at security aren't large enough to scan checked baggage.
By the way, Ryanair doesn’t fly from Hamburg at all.
So you're making up some stories here.
Departure from Hamburg to Alicante, was exactly as I wrote
Where was that supposed to be? There's no such thing. You must have misunderstood something. You probably only had hand luggage, and because you arrived late, you had to check it in at the plane. Checked baggage cannot and may not be taken onto the plane (simply because it wouldn't fit through the security scanners).
It always depends on the destination. Since I have four airports to choose from, I also have a correspondingly large number of airlines to choose from. For example, I recently flew with Air Malta. But I often fly with Ryanair, EasyJet, or KLM. I have the corresponding status with the latter, as I usually fly KLM/AF on long-haul flights and business flights. As a frequent flyer, I avoid Swiss and Lufthansa like the plague.
Normally Ryanair is used for cheap flights, but otherwise it's different. This year it's Ethiad.
I don't really "prefer", I just book what is suggested to me
Da die meisten meiner Flüge in England starten und enden, ist British Airways seit Jahren mein Favorit.
None. I fly with everything (except Ryanair).
Not a direct preference, but from the nearest airport to me the majority of connections are operated by Star Alliance.
The cheap one right now – doesn't take that long.
Depends on where I fly
Turkish Airlines, was sonst
None at all!
