Maybe South German cold blossoms? They look similar, though larger and of course heavier. They’d fit if you mean Haflinger from the old blow.

If it had not been thought of an Island, for they are not in no way similar to the Hafi – at most from the color;-)

Probably you mean a South German cold blood or Norwegian. They are heavier than a hafi, usually larger and very often found in the “Hafi color”.

But also find here that one clearly recognizes the difference when one looked at the races a little more closely. But for a layman or from afar, it could of course be confused;-)

Hey!

Probably a South German cold blood! These are driving, work and train horses and come as the name says from Germany.

Black forests would also fall into my mind. There were people who had a Palomino Quarter for a Haflinger.

Ouch. Quarters have a completely different body construction. But you’re right, most people just look at the color.

The Haflinger in xxl format is the Southern German cold blood.

For example, a Freiberger could come into question, which are similar from the format, only larger and gives it in different colors.

Gangs. Plural, not Singular.

Aside from that, an Icelandic does not look like a haflinger, and the least are larger. (Sure there are also specimens that look like a hafi, but there are often other breeds confused with haflingers only because there is a fox with bright long hair (flaxen).)

But this also only happens to lay people who have nothing to do with horses. Usually you see the difference Haflinger and Island very, very clearly.

But of course, in terms of colour, you might sometimes think it would be a hafi…. from gaaaanz further distance 😉

? With “small” I meant the size of the horse, not the big and small spell.

That’s right.

Have often seen people who thought the Isi was a Shetty because he was a little smaller and quite lousy…

This often happens with breeds that can be recognized by their color. Friesen or Haflinger. The Norwegian is a friese, too, just because he’s randomly a rag.

I actually know an Icelandic, which I thought at first glance was a hafi. At the second glance you have already seen the Icelandic.

But as generally speaking, the Icelandic does not look like Haflinger.
