Afraid to go into the forest because I don't want to crush small animals?

Hello, it has happened to me a few times that I have accidentally stepped on snails or slugs when I am out for a walk. Every time that happens I get really sad and feel bad about having ended a life like that, so I just stay there for a while. But the main problem I have is that when I go out into the woods at night, for example, or into taller grass where it is harder to see the animals, it can happen again and again.

In the woods I always wear my knee-high rubber boots with a thick profile, so you don’t get away with it when something gets under it.

Then don’t go there at night, or take a lamp and move slowly, carefully and without shoes.

Then you can no longer leave the house, because on the asphalt there are also many small animals such as beetles and others.

Then walk on asphalt and walk at night with flashlight

I only read the title u the first sentence …. You can also overdo it!

You don’t do that on purpose or involuntary! So don’t worry.

As a hunter and collector (of whom we come from), as well as a shepherd or a farmer (many generations were that), you would have a problem. 😉

Better live healthy and natural and often go out into nature instead of grumping and pulling you back.

I don’t care. When I go to the woods with the dog, I’ve got rubber boots anyway, so I don’t care what I’m just doing. Even toads, I’ve already shattered, I haven’t even noticed.
