I want to make an Advent calendar for my best friend. We've agreed on 10 for a maximum of €15, but I can't think of anything to put in it that won't be too boring… so not so basic.

The pencils are advertised as "wooden colored pencil, wax crayon, and watercolor all in one," and I just wanted to see if anyone with experience with this medium knew of an alternative for adults. I'm guessing oil pastels would be similarly pigmented and soft, but I hate anything that isn't in the classic pencil shape….
