Acid and acidic solution at the substance and particle level?

Hello,

We are supposed to explain the difference between acids and acidic solutions at the material and particle level.

It is clear to me that acids are pure substances and acidic solutions are acids that have been dissolved in water, whereby a proton transfer has taken place and oxonium ions have been formed.

But I'm not sure how to divide this into the material and particle levels?

Can anyone help me?

On the material level, macroscopic properties are usually used. Acids taste sour (which should usually not be tried), dissolve lime, discolor indicator etc. At particle level, acids give H+ to water, which leads to the formation of H3O+.
