AC & DC generator difference?

Hi, I need helping distinguish between AC and DC generators.
The most important thing is why you use each one for what, the advantages and disadvantages of both, what type of power they generate, and what additional equipment the alternator needs to generate direct current. Thanks for any help 🙂

what kind of power they generate

If you cannot read it from the name, you can find this information:

and with which additional equipment the alternating current generator can also generate direct current. Thanks for any help 🙂

A pure direct current generator takes the current off the rotor via carbon brushes of the collector is interrupted. Alternating current generator can also be taken from the stator or there are 2 slip rings which are not interrupted. The alternating current from the alternating current generator can be converted into direct current with a rectifier.

That's what comes from the names.

The constant current generator generates who would have thought this, a DC voltage, the AC current generator an AC voltage.

What is this meant by advantages and disadvantages? You generate the current you need.

…with which additional equipment the AC generator can also generate direct current.

In what context do you ask? Do you have your homework? If so, it would have to be discussed in class, for which a rectifier is used.

Hello in a direct current generator, the alternating currents induced by the stator magnetic field in the rotor are rectified by the commutator, while in the alternating current generator the alternating currents induced in the rotor are removed via slip rings…
