Applying means that you ask for an application and then for an interview. I suspect they did that and waited instead of writing an application You’re now that there’s something else coming because you misunderstood. Applying does not mean that there is any communication between them and your current employer. So apply, they will hopefully invite you to the interview and offer you a contract of employment, and only if the one signed by both sides can be signed You will inform and announce your employer now. Because you have to comply with a notice period, the new employment contract can of course only apply from the end of this notice period. Whether you’re asking for a job certificate so routinely from your now-based employer, or if you don’t get suspicion that you’re going anywhere else, I have no advice for you. If the application does not receive such a fresh certificate, it must be founded in the accompanying letter. Previous certificates, including the school certificate, should be attached as copies of the application with the tabular CV.

Is it the same profession?

You can, of course, cancel at any time in the trial period. Then you shouldn’t be training in the same profession.

You could change the operation. However, your current AG must agree to this and resolve the training contract. Then you could switch to the other operation.

Yes, in the trial period. Only after the trial period is it no longer possible.

You can’t keep everything right from school time 😉

BBiG § 22 para. 2:

(2) After the trial period the vocational training relationship can only be terminated

1.

for an important reason without having to comply with a notice period,

Two.

of trainees with a notice period of four weeks, if they wish to give up vocational training or to be trained for another occupation.

The indentations under paragraph 2 thus apply only in the case of a proper calibration after the trial period.
