Lose weight with just proteins?
Hello everyone,
I'm curious: would I lose weight if I drank 500g of low-fat quark (approx. 60g protein) and 1L of milk (approx. 30g protein) twice a day? I also add 2-3 bananas to each quark-milk mixture. Additional information: I'm male, 1.81m tall, and weigh 87kg. I want to lose weight, so I want to consume as few calories as possible. With the approximately 180g of protein, I want to prevent my body from losing muscle. I also go to the gym regularly for strength training.
No. So you’ll lose weight if you’re in the calorie deficit, but it’s not healthy at all.
The body needs fat to survive.
The general recommendations are MINDESTENS 60g fat per day for a functioning hormone production, but I advise you to 80g. If your body does not make testosterone right, also training and protein will not help you
You would lose weight, but not necessarily fat, but muscles. The body goes into a “energy saving mode” with a low calorie intake and any energy you take to you is stored directly as a fat reserve. So you just lose your muscles, but your fat doesn’t. Result=Skinny fat. If you want to decrease correctly, you need to calculate your total turnover, which includes your basic turnover and performance turnover, and then deduct 300-500kcal from the total turnover daily. So take off healthy without losing muscles or getting the risk of having a jojo effect
That should work. You’re probably in the calorie deficit.
I don’t know where I’ve read it anymore, but it was there that the body somehow falls into such a kind of panic mode when it gets too few calories and that then causes the opposite. That’s why I’m insecure. Did you hear anything like that?
I’ve heard that before. This can even lose muscle mass. According to your information, you are at c.a. 1400 calories a day, what about your body weight if I think about it again is not completely safe. You should add food like buttermilk to your diet.
And then Mister Jojo!
OK
Yes, even a few: Omega 3, Zinc+Vitamin C, Magnesium, Vitamin D, Biotin.
No thing. Just one more question: Do you take any supplements?
Thank you for your answers!
If your body does not get enough calories it burns instead of fat muscle mass. What do you think so many bodybuilders scratch? But that would be the extreme case. I’d recommend you 2,000 calories.
Can I lose muscle mass despite the strength training and the total of 180g proteins? Why isn’t it so safe?
Unprobably possible
If I have reached my weight and then feed me balanced, then no jojo effect can occur, right? (Should not be a provocative question. I ask because I really want to know.)
