I’ll say “afternoon.”

The biological half-life for caffeine is about 2.5 to 5 hours in a healthy adult. This is the time when half of the substance was metabolized/exclusive by the body and thus the effect is only so high. For younger people, the half-life is extended, and of course, the consumed amount and the body mass also plays a decisive role.

So it can take some hours to get your cycle down so far that you can sleep easily.

you can’t say flat. Not everyone reacts right there. So I wouldn’t drink coffee anymore at the time (energy drinks anyway not), if I want to sleep at 10, I don’t drink after lunch, because I can’t sleep at all.

Try out and learn it.
