That’s a good question. I work in a kita and have a boy who is very overweight. When he came to me with three, he could talk like a young God, but did not go and go out, stairs did not go. He sat in front of me with all four of himself and says, “Take me on.” He was able to walk down the stairs only in the adjustment step and he needed ergotherapy in the first Kita year because it was not possible with the movement.

Today he is six and I think he does not understand that he is overweight. He recognizes the overweight in other people and can also address it, but he does not yet refer to it. It is now not only thick, but also big due to growth. He’s naughty like Bolle, and if he knew he could use his pounds to knock and harm others, he would do it. At the moment it refers “only” to destroying buildings of other children.

Children can understand at different times what is overweight and how it can affect their health. In general, children from about six years can begin to understand the relationship between diet, exercise and weight.

From this age, children can understand that certain foods and motion patterns can help to lose weight or to increase weight. You can also understand that obesity and obesity can lead to health problems such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and joint problems.

However, it is important to note that each child is different and that the ability to understand these concepts depends on many factors, such as family and social environment, schooling and individual development.

It is important to educate children in a positive and supportive environment about healthy diet and exercise and to teach them how to maintain themselves and their health responsibly.

Understand? Parents are responsible for the health of their children and do not wait and so long masts until the child understands that it is unhealthy thick.
