When does ibuprofen become harmful to the kidneys?
..that it can become critical?
I've been having pain (cystitis) for a few days, and in the afternoon, an unbearable throbbing headache has been coming on. I have another appointment with my GP this afternoon. But until then, I really had to take an ibuprofen every now and then to get through the day. It's not like a tablet anymore, so I'm not consuming them like Smarties, but I'm still worried. Do you have any experience with this?
For a longer-term intake over several days and for an overdose. But heart attacks can also occur.
IBU is not so good at headaches.
For example, you should take aspirin or thyomapyrin.
Is there no paracetramol or ibuprofen in thyomapyrin?
Why should Ibuprofen be unsuitable for headaches?
Nothing happens so fast.
Every chemistry goes to the liver. Point. To what extent each reacts is individual. The less chemistry, the better.
Ask your doctor about it! He knows more.
The maximum daily dose is taken from the package leaflet.
Otherwise, Ibu and Paracetamol were advised with a renal pelvic inflammation because they would be metabolized via the kidney and got another painkiller that is more likely to be degraded via the liver.
But if that’s only two, three days and no permanent medication, nothing serious should happen.
