A package was sent from China to a new address, but without a change of address. Is it still safe to pick it up at the post office?
I ordered a package yesterday from China, which means it has to go through customs, where import fees will likely apply. And from experience, DHL and the like have to drop it off at the post office, and you can then pay the fees at the post office and pick it up with your ID.
However, the package will be delivered to my new address. However, I haven't re-registered yet, which doesn't happen until April 11th, the registration deadline. But the package should arrive before then. And when I probably have to pick it up at the post office and they want my ID, it still has my old address on it and not my new one. And the package has my new address on it.
I'm worried they won't want to release the package to me. What's the best way to proceed?
Can I present it with another document, such as the rental agreement, which proves that I live at the new address, as stated on the package, or do they only accept my ID card?
Or what other solutions are there? I'm not very familiar with this and would appreciate some advice.
Thanks in advance. 🙂
Good evening.
You can redirect it to a packing station.
Kind regards.
The concern is justified.
A person of your trust writes a power to pick up.
Correct. This is the only possible way. Everything else doesn't work
Thanks for the tip 🙂
Less
Take the rental contract or an apartment registration certificate.
Apartment owner certificate is not yet existing the rental contract interested no
depends on what you ordered, it can be quite expensive for you.
how to send a package to a wrong address if the "false" recipient refuses acceptance, he will probably do that will go back. the parcel service looks into the tube because it already had expenses. you haven't reported yet. how you can only:
I already live in the new apartment name Etc is all about getting an appointment at the Burger Office is not so easy to get an appointment now but only on April 11th, where the package arrives before and the only problem is just the personal ID because there is not yet the new address on it, but others think that here too would be nice to give a person and then that should work with the package.
and refuse for the purpose of accepting I do not do I am the recipient and if the mail provides it directly to me that give it no problem just therefore it comes from China through customs and probably does not land directly with me especially at the mail.
