A-license, upgrade to a level with your own moped?

If you already have an A1/A2 license, you can upgrade to A2/A by taking a shortened test. You don't need a theory test, driving lessons, etc., just the test.

Now I'm wondering, is all this possible without a driving school? I think so far, I can practice on my own (basic driving exercises, etc.) and then just drive to the test – but what about taking a moped for the test?

Does the moped for the A2 test really have to be an A2 moped, or can I take the test with my own A1 moped? Or can I get the A license and just arrive for the test on my A2 moped?

Because if not (i.e., for the A license, it has to be a moped with at least 35kW), then there's no way around the driving school. I can't come to the test with an A-moped that I'm not even allowed to drive yet…

Must the moped for the A2 test really be an A2 moped

It must be an A2 motorcycle. Appendix 7

2.2 Test vehicles

2.2.2 For Class A2:

Motorcycles without sidecars

a) Engine power at least 20 kWbut not more than 35 kW;

(b) Ratio of power/weight not exceeding 0,2 kW/kg,

c) with internal combustion engine engine engine engine engine engine capacity not less than 250 cm3,

d) with electric motor: Ratio of power/weight at least 0,15 kW/kg.

Since you cannot drive this vehicle at the time of the test, you must be accompanied by a driver who is legally a driver.

For practical testing for A2 / A you need a driving school. But you can throttle your motorcycle to A1 / A2 to drive it with your lobe. (If this is possible, depends on the unthrottled power)

Many have risen in this river: drive to the driver’s license check and get caught…

Don’t make the same mistake!

You can drive your A2 motorcycle to the A test, of course, because you already have the A2. However, with an A-engine wheel that no longer falls under A2, you would climb into the same river.

For A2, the limitation of 35 kW applies. Motorcycles with a maximum of 70 kW can be throttled to 35 kW and are therefore suitable for A2. However, this is not allowed for motorcycles with natural power exceeding 70 kW!
