Application without mentioning the current employer?

I'd like to change employers (employers) in the same industry. I wanted to find out about the working hours by phone beforehand, but I don't want to name my current employer before I know the working conditions at the new employer. So, in case the question arises, what are you currently doing and for whom?
How can I cleverly sidestep this question? I don't want to scare my employer if it doesn't work out. It's just about an increase in working hours, not that I don't like my employer. I know my new employer, too, just not the hours they expect. So how can I get around this question?

I would mention that you are in an unannounced employment relationship and that your current employer does not know about your plans, so you ask for discretion or provisional silence.
On the phone, however, I would not mention too much, only in a personal conversation
