Graphics card watts?
Hi, does anyone know how many watts this card needs because it says 500 watts on the internet but that's a bit much.
have a 550 watt power supply
I have a Ryzen 5 5600 and a Gigabyte B550 GAMING X V2 ATX motherboard
Can my power supply do this?

The card doesn't consume 100-120 watts. What's that specification? At idle? At full load? Nothing's right. The other expert says ' it'll be around ' – a rough estimate, or what's that?

Under maximum load, the card reaches 180-190 W. What nobody cares about here are spikes, which I would have been worried about. Spikes are around 210-220 W, so they're within reason.

Well, because in such a case, the exact wattage is relatively unimportant. The question is how often you actually reach maximum load.
Besides, you don't usually plan down to the exact wattage, but rather always allow for some buffer. So, "around 150 watts" is pretty good.
Continuous load is much more interesting than peaks.

500W is supposed to be the recommended power supply size to avoid overload. But even 500W is significantly oversized.

The graphics card itself doesn't require 500 watts. That's a very high recommendation for the entire system's power supply.
The card itself will consume around 150 watts under load.
