Upgrade BMW X3 e83 BJ2004 with onboard computer to CarPlay?

Hi, I'm looking for a CarPlay system that supports the factory folding monitor. It could cost between €200-500 maximum.

Didn't know there was something like that. The OEM display has a pretty bad resolution for today's conditions and also no touch.

CarPlay also supports operation via a rotary knob, but this is really laborious and stubborn.

I'd rather dispense with the BC than give up with this mice cinema.

I'm talking about Android systems there are some. Most of them would only be compatible without on-board computers or without these equipment and if they cost the double would go from the cable harness anyway?

Yes of course. The OEM display is replaced by a new one. However, you also need a new radio (one with AUX input)

So the radio itself needs the input for Aux from the cable harness?
