Set up printer as a network printer?

Hello😊

I have a Brother mfcj470dw at home, which I once shared on the network via a PC. Unfortunately, it no longer works, for whatever reason. Can I connect the printer to the network using an adapter?

Hello,

if you are part of a network, you can share your connected (USB?) printer as a resource. Then all users in your segment can use it with

Your printer also has Wi-Fi, for example, you can connect it to the router using WPS button and then find it in the Explorer under network

The Fritzbox also has a USB connection to which a printer can be connected

Who should get the USB port?

yes, does not matter where you connect the printer as long as it is visible on the net and can be released.

I’ve never tried. What router do you have?

No, with the adapter (or any other) this is NOT possible. Such adapters require drivers that you cannot install on a printer.

However, the model you named has a WiFi antenna, so you can attach it wirelessly to the network, so you don’t need any additional hardware.

connect to the network via network cable

If it doesn’t work with WLAN, why should it go with LAN?
