Should you be allowed to drop all subjects except 5 or so?

Hi,

Next week I'm writing a German paper in which we have to debate 2 against 2. We're debating the topic mentioned in the title (Should we be allowed to drop all subjects?) and I need pro and con arguments, since we won't find out whether we're pro or con until shortly before the paper starts.

thanks for your answers ☺️

So contra can definitely argue that some subjects are very important. For example, politics/economy can be argued that it is necessary and should therefore also be obliged to continue. This can also be discussed specifically for individual subjects. So why is it important that subject xy is mandatory and so.

For pro, in my opinion, a certain equality would speak. If some subjects can be selected, but do not change, the students have advantages that are randomly good in the subjects that are just mandatory.

That would have happened to me now. But we can still write together or something, find it interesting to think about this. Well, I hope it helps you.

If all subjects were selected, there would be no more university maturity. The question is already wrong.
