Hello what does this mean?

Hello,

I contacted a company about an internship. My requirements were a four-week internship, but the supervisor asked: "Do you have the option of extending my internship to 10-12 weeks?" Does that mean a total of 10-12 weeks, or 4 weeks plus 10-12 weeks?

The term is probably 10 – 12 weeks of total internship!

a total of 12 weeks – otherwise the formulation would be 12 weeks.

Sorry, but can’t you get German? Renew to 10-12 weeks, so 10-12 weeks in total.

I think that’s too good for your German. If it’s true, see it as a compliment

You shall extend for 10-12 weeks, not for 10-12 weeks.

Renewing for 10-12 weeks means a total of 10-12 weeks.

Does it mean that it would take you only for a minimum period of 2.5 to 3 months?

The answer is given by the head of the institution

“Extension AUF 10-12 weeks” and not “UM 10-12 weeks”.
