Vlan's task how does it work?
To enable routing from one VLAN to another, a router can be used. This is based on the included packet tracer circuit.
a) Add an expandable router below Switch 3 (Router Selection -> "PT Router")
b) Expand the router with 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports: Turn off the router under "Physical" (press the button on the device with the mouse) -> Add the interface "PT-Router-NM_1CGE" three times (drag and drop it from the list into the device) -> Turn on the router
c) Run three lines from switch 3 (e.g. ports Fa 0/10, Fa0/11, Fa0/12) to the three router interfaces
d) Assign each of the three switch ports to a VLAN (as a normal access port)
e) Switch on the 3 router interfaces on the router, configure each of them with an IP address that matches the respective subnetwork and configure this address as the "Default Gateway" for the corresponding PCs
f) Check whether pings from the VLANs to the others are now possible
g) Switch to simulation mode, enable only the ICMP protocol (and ARP if necessary) and track the ping packets between the networks – pay particular attention to the VLAN tags in the networks.
h) Formulate the principle of routing between VLANs in your own words.
