PC case headphone connection?

Hello, the headset jack on my PC case is broken. I was wondering if there's a way I can use the microphone jack and still have it recognized as a headset. Is there a way to plug something into the motherboard to change this?

With most ;ainboards you can choose to stick. Should you ask if this is a micro or loudspeaker when the drivers are up to date.
